- 4 month contract (could extend or convert)
- 100% remote, but MUST work EST
- $19.00/hr.
This is a tax analyst entry level role- will be reviewing invoices, calling vendors to review and retrieve information on CA tax information. Do not have to know about CA Tax but it is helpful. Will be reporting findings, extreme customer service is key.
Basic Qualifications:
* 0-2 years' experience in sales and use tax, gross receipts tax or technology
* Will be working in multiple Excel sheets so must know Excel.
* Demonstrated ability to build relationships with external and internal partners
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Passion to work in a dynamic and complex financial system and sales/use and indirect tax environment
* Self-starter that takes a hands-on approach
* Superior Excel skills (V-Lookups, SumIf, Match)
Preferred Qualifications:
* SAP experience
Responsibilities:
* Participate in audit field work and respond to information requests from auditors as assigned
* Call or email vendors for retrieval of invoices
* Track and update audit template once invoices are received
* Analyze and audit tax account activity and communicate any issues with appropriate team members
* Special projects as assigned
