This is a contract position; however it is not uncommon for assignments to transition into permanent positions with our client companies. Applicant must be eligible to work in the US for immediate opening.  For this opportunity, the successful candidate will be directly employed by Bartech Staffing as a W2 employee while providing services to our end client.

Accounting Associate        

Job Responsibilities                                              

Your specific duties as a Accounting Associate will include:

  • Compensation (Range): $22.50 / hour
  • Performs complex clerical accounting duties involving routine and non- routine calculations and analysis, reconciliations, verifications, and postings while ensuring accuracy and validity in the accounting processes. Requires limited work direction. Duties: Maintains and processes accounting transactions to assist with accurate financial reporting.
  • Reconciles the more complex accounts, identifies discrepancies found, and provides the corrective action to be taken. Assists with month end close activities and preparing financial exhibits Communicates with others within the department or outside of the work area (employees, customers, suppliers) to exchange information and to answer questions or resolve issues.
  • Prepares various financial reports.
  • Payroll back-up
  • Special project assignments such as special account analysis, SOX testing internal controls and internal audit testing to meet corporate and SOX compliance requirements
  • Assist team with other ad-hoc requests

Job Requirements

As a Accounting Associate you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Experience working with spreadsheets
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum of two-year college degree required (preferably in Accounting)
  • Recent graduates will be considered if they have a four-year degree in accounting/busines
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an office environment required
  • This is a First Shift, Onsite position
  • There is the possibility of some OT, which can be done during the week (It is based on volume and month-end activities)
