Classification: Accounts Payable Clerk
Compensation: $21.85 to $25.30 hourly
Seeking a short-term contract / temporary to hire position? Robert Half is doing the hiring process for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk for a rapidly-expanding company. A successful Accounts Payable Clerk will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. Major responsibilities
- Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed
- Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department
- Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it
- Carry out additional projects as required
- Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
- Assist with internal and external audits as needed
- Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling
- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
- Practical knowledge of customer invoices
- Accounts Payable (AP) experience
- Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
- General familiarity with Invoice Payment
- Proficiency in Coding Invoices
- Foundational knowledge in Enter Vendor Invoices
- Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
- 1+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
- Competent with spreadsheets and database
