Compensation: $22.80 to $24.00 hourly
REMOTE OPPORTUNITY FOR THE REST OF 2021! NEED LOCAL CANDIDATES TO MICHIGAN! Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Specialist. Candidates with experience working as an Accounts Receivable Specialist and who are able to enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer Accounts Receivable issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L will be most fit for this position. If you are a self-starter with high attention to detail, you will be a good fit for this Accounts Receivable Specialist position, which handles 200+ invoices a week. This is a Long-term contract / to Full-Time Accounts Receivable Specialist position and is based in the Southfield, Michigan area.
Your responsibilities in this role as the Accounts Receivable Specialist are:
- Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans
- Take care of payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP
- Communicate, reinforce, and support the values, culture, and mission of the organization
- Square bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in diverse ledgers
- Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. written correspondence, phone contact, skip-tracing, and making arrangements for payment
- Present information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders
- Execute a number of foundational accounting tasks in agreement with normal procedures, including general accounting tasks
- Corroborate documents and codes
- Skilled with ERP systems and working with OEM Portals
- Expertise in Cash Collections and Lock Box
- Foundational knowledge in credit collections
- Month end closings experience
- Strong familiarity with commercial collections
- Cash applications experience highly desired
- Well-founded grasp of Microsoft Excel
- Proven knowledge of Coding Invoices
- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field
- High attention to detail
- Proven analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
- 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
