ITAC Solutions is helping a client search for a Communication Specialist in the Nashville area who will own a brand initiative across all company levels.
The Communication specialist will tell the company's story through print publications, social media postings, video, and other visual outlets. The right person will likely have a background in broadcast news media or print journalism and be skilled in editing pictures and video.
This position requires the person to work onsite in Nashville while following CDC guidelines for COVID-19. There's no option for C2C.
What you'll be doing (duties of this position):
- Write, edit and project-manage visual communications
- Create and/or consult on communications materials for internal stakeholders including development/M&A, marketing, HR, and others
- Use visual media to show compelling examples of the organization's culture and values
- Proofread communications materials for consistency, adherence to style/messaging guide, and factual accuracy
What you'll need to be considered (requirements):
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field plus 5 or more years' experience in communications, content strategy or related field
- Proficient in AP style
- Experience working from a brand style guide; ability to adapt tone and voice to adjust to various audiences and messages
- Excellent writing skills and editorial ability; can write in easy-to-understand language
- Ability to adapt writing style for different media, including print, digital, event scripting, and video
- Understanding of how communications tactics contribute to a broader brand strategy
- Background and prior experience with a healthcare-related field is preferred; familiarity with clinically focused content, writing/editing using medical terminology, medical conditions and service lines
- Must be self-motivated; deadline-oriented
