Classification: Logistics Clerk
Compensation: $14.25 to $16.50 hourly
A client working with Robert Half is in need of a new Logistics Coordinator. It is important for the chosen Logistics Clerk candidate to understand how to work with clients coordinating shipments. You should also be able to perform a heavy amount of data entry and customer service. As the Logistics Clerk, you will be responsible for the processing of customer orders, including coordination with vendors and arranging shipments. Submit your application today! Key responsibilities
- Follow-up with carriers, as necessary
- Heed guidelines for approving carriers
- Convey and organize with inventory and sales management; warehouse; logistics for service changes
- Perform various administrative duties
- Approve freight bills and process bills of lading
- Manage, pursue, and facilitate dispatch & progress of orders on time and to meet delivery requirements- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer service mindset
- Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required
- 2+ years' experience with shipping/logistics
- Solid understanding of navigating basic office equipment and protocols
- You'll be a preferred candidate for this job if you can demonstrate experience in purchasing, inventory control, transportation and warehousing functions
- Ability to operate basic office equipment, complete general office work and route incoming materials
