Classification: Desktop Support Analyst
Compensation: $26.00 to $26.00 hourly
If you have a flair for clearly breaking down and explaining convoluted technical information in a way that is easily understood by non-technical users, Robert Half has the Desktop Services Technician role for you. To thrive in this position, you will need to be a self-starter, with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for working in an innovative environment. Located in the Madison, Wisconsin, area, this Desktop Services Analyst role is long-term contract / temporary in nature.
How you will make an impact
- With some direction provide direct technical support to computer system users.
- Answer complex and difficult to resolve computer problems for clients.
- Provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software including printing, VPN connectivity, electronic mail, and operating systems.
- Provide desk side support and training for end users.
- 6 years in PC hardware/software installation and support.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems PC hardware and desktop application products.
- The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues on a desktop platform.
- Strong customer service communication skills.
- Must be able to multi task and pay close attention to detail.
