- Dispatch drivers and coordinate efficient pick up of ocean containers in and out of the ports of Los Angeles & Long Beach
- Work directly with company drivers and owner operators
- Interact with customers and effectively communicate on a daily basis
- Track shipments between customers and drivers
- Pre-plan routes
- Manage on-board computer tracking system
- Complete daily paperwork
- Audit and manage daily manifests
- Report and escalate any issues
- Troubleshoot and problem solve
- Data entry and reporting
- Strong knowledge of MS Office
- Ability to type 35 WPM
Requirements:
- 22 years of age or older
- Valid drivers license
- Previous dispatch harbor/drayage experience required
- Computer literate with the ability to maneuver and work in MS Office
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred, but not required
Shift:
Night Shift: Monday- Friday (Occasional Saturday) 2nd shift starts at approx. 5pm to 3am
Compensation:
Hourly, DOE + Benefits
