Donor Services Associate at The Deamer Group

The Deamer Group is currently in search of a Donor Services Associate our growing Atlanta, Georgia client. This is a temporary position for a faith-based organization in Midtown Atlanta which support community outreach.  Position Summary
The Donor Services Associate (DSA) will report to the VP of Technology and Data Services. They will work closely with the Philanthropy and Finance teams. The DSA will be responsible for providing quality customer service (telephone, email, and written) to donors and others regarding the Federation. The DSA will employ a consultative, personal, and professional approach to service our donors' needs while maintaining the integrity of the data gathered and entered into the system 
 
Responsibilities: 

  • Enter notes about every interaction into our CRM.  
  • Proactively maintain CRM data hygiene.  
  • Accurately capture donor inquiries and provide responses, services, and follow up as needed.  
  • Answer phones and route calls to appropriate team member or make referral to a partner program.  
  • Provide excellent customer service to donors and prospects by providing accurate information, engaging in active listening, and presenting oneself in a non-judgmental and professional manner.  
  • Ensure all information gathered on donors, pledges, and payments is accurately entered into the appropriate internal system.  
  • Carefully process incoming pledges and payments and investigate, as needed, the correct donor and pledge to apply payments to.  
  • Research and resolve donor issues within the expected timeframes; interact with internal and external resources; continually monitors account activity, and communicate status to donors, in accordance with established guidelines.  
  • Have a strong awareness of the appropriate notifications that are needed to senior staff for certain transactions and communications.  
  • Process pledge and payment acknowledgements, account statements, thank you/birthday/tribute/condolence cards.  
  • Assist other teams with data reports and updates.  
  • Professionally communicate with donors to collect payment on aged pledges.  
  • Use good decision making on when to involve senior staff in escalated situations. 
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality for our donors.
  • Perform other task as assigned

Fiscal responsibility is key, as the organization evaluates the changing needs of the communities they serve and their various programs' performance to ensure fiscal responsibility.
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related area of study or an internship, volunteer, or professional position in a non-profit organization.  
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Customer/Donor Service role.
  • Experience within a non-profit organization is a bonus.  
  • Experience with donor databases.  Salesforce is a bonus.  
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office - Must be proficient in Excel and intermediate in Word.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive material and information.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines for multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work within a team and independently
  • Ability to manage-up collaborating with all levels of staff, volunteers, donors and perspective donors
