Classification: Human Resources (HR) Assistant
Compensation: $14.25 to $16.50 hourly
Utilize your organization and administrative skills as a Human Resources Assistant through Robert Half in the Healthcare industry. The Human Resources Assistant will be accountable for a variety of personnel related administrative tasks and will provide clerical support to the HR department and employees regarding human resources related activities, policies, processes, and procedures. This short-term contract / temporary employment is with an organization in the Healthcare industry and is based in the Norfolk, Virginia area.
Your responsibilities
- Oversee employee database records
- Assist in new employee on-boarding orientation planning
- Be in charge of administrative and office responsibilities
- Explore the internet to locate potential customers
- Experience with office applications and software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)- Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills
- Approachable and appropriate demeanor when interacting with all levels of staff in a rapidly changing environment
- New employee orientation experience
- Practical knowledge of Onboarding
- HRIS System experience highly preferred
- General familiarity with Assure Compliance
- Strong familiarity with Human Resources (HR) Administration
- HR compliance experience preferred
- Foundational knowledge in internal communications
- Background working with E-Verify
- Adeptness in personnel file maintenance
- Comprehensive knowledge of customer service
- Demonstrated knowledge of benefits coordination
- Willing to work as part of a team or independently and have the drive to take on a variety of tasks and projects
- Experience handling confidential business matters and information with discretion
