We are seeking Fixed Asset Accountants in the Los Angeles area to join our team. The Fixed Asset Accountant will handle all aspects of maintaining and recording fixed assets. This employee will analyze asset requests and Purchase Orders (PO) to ensure proper classification as a capital asset, and completes monthly, quarterly and yearly reconciliations.

responsibilities:
- Reviews Asset requests and PO's to ensure proper account coding and compliance with company policy.
- Serves as cross-functional liaison for fixed asset transactions, Asset owners, & PO requesters.
- validating calculations of appropriate depreciation of fixed assets for both financial and tax purposes
- maintaining, analyzing, and troubleshooting accounting transactions
- performing monthly account reconciliations
- supporting preparation of tax packets with Fixed Assets data
- Performs asset approvals, capitalization, transfers and disposals.
- Prepares journal entries, account analysis and reporting, including all Fixed Asset schedules
- Works closely with internal departments (i.e. operational teams, FP&A, and tax)
qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
- 4 years of accounting experience, preferably with 1-2 years of fixed assets.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to work effectively with others.
- Experience and strong understanding of internal controls
