Role Description: The Leave Administrator II must have at least 0.5 years of experience. In this role, you will administer and manage FMLA, military, personal, and related state leave ("Integrated Leave") programs within a specified region.
You will work in collaboration with the Integrated Disability Management ("IDM") team and all other partners internal and external to communicate employees leave status. Level II handle complex leave claims and intermittent claims that do not involve short term disability.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Ensure compliance with, and correct application of, applicable company program policies and procedures consistent with union contract requirements, and federal and state regulations.
- Determine claimant eligibility for FMLA, Personal, Military leaves submitted across all US operations
- Provide appropriate paperwork according to regulatory guidelines
- Review paperwork received and determine if employee meets requirements for leave benefits
- Meet all federal and state regulatory and company best practice guidelines for processing and managing claims
- Communicate and correspond with all involved parties, including but not limited to, divisional HR and claimants throughout the leave process
- Create case, monitor and manage ongoing leave eligibility for the time off and associated benefits
- Help achieve equitable, cost-efficient case resolution by optimizing company resources for most favorable outcomes, timely resolution of cases, and appropriate use of medical and investigation resources
- Maintain all databases for leave claims
- Assist as needed with the Transitional Duty program in collaboration with IDM team members (Workers' compensation claim managers, Nurse Case managers) and HR, identifying employees who are able to safely return to the work through the program at both internal and external locations
- Recognize and communicate a potential ADA situation to Labor and Relations Department
- Pursue appropriate educational opportunities in order to maintain professional competence and understand changing regulatory requirements

Required Skills and Experience:
- High school or Associates degree in an allied health field
- Two - Four (2-4) years of administering FMLA and state related leaves
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test
Education: High School/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent
