Medical Lab Technician needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh Scientific's client located in St. Louis, MO area.
This position is an entry level role in the clinical affairs laboratory of a multinational biotechnology company, and requires a Bachelor's Degree, and 1 - 2 years of microbiology lab experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform timely and accurately internal laboratory experiments, under the supervision of the lab manager or of designee (permanent lab staff working on micro project), by following the protocol instructions
- Produce accurate & reliable data
- Report troubleshooting/technical issue observed during experiments to lab manager or to the designee
- Maintain work area & instruments used for the experiments
- Document & record all activities to ensure good trial traceability & quality
- Manage logistics activities related to clinical trials: ordering, shipping to external sites, tracking
Qualifications:
- Med tech degree preferred
- A min. Bachelor degree in laboratory science with experience in micro lab environment (1 to 2 years) will be considered
- Working knowledge of basic and/or complex microbiology & blood culture associated practices
- Familiarity with automated laboratory equipment
- Ability to perform testing independently
