Classification: Network Engineer
Compensation: $50.00 to $60.00 hourly
Robert Half is in URGENT need of a Network Engineer for a prestigious technology company in DTLA. This will be a 3 month contract-to-HIRE opportunity and they are looking to hire IMMEDIATELY. The Network Engineer will be responsible for:
- Assist in researching, evaluating, recommending, and implementing network infrastructure technology
- Work alongside Information Technology and external partners to develop strategies and plans to enforce high availability for the PT WAN/LAN infrastructure
- Interface with developers and business stakeholders to identify requirements and recommend and engineer solutions as agreed upon by the team.
- Monitor and tune the network for optimal performance and availability
- Configure, test, and maintain LAN/WAN/Edge network equipment and related services across multiple geographies.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve network problems of varying degrees of complexity.
- Install and maintain network hardware in remote co-location facilities.
- Assist in network operating system patches and software upgrades, and routine hardware configuration.
- Interface with various service providers to deploy and maintain transport circuits.

TOP TECH MUST HAVES:
- Establishing and maintaining IT and digital communication infrastructure, including wireless, LAN, and SDWAN networks.
- Installing and maintaining firewalls, establishing and maintaining company-wide access policies, Cisco Switch and firewall configuration
- Using VLANS and ACLs to segment and secure the networks.
