Classification: Patient Registration
Compensation: $17.00 to $18.00 hourly
We currently have an opening for an exceptional Patient Registration Coordinator at a prominent health organization. The ideal candidate will have a couple years of experience working in a medical setting, and have a great attention to detail and organizational skills. This position is located in San Luis Obispo, California and is a long term position, perfect for anyone looking to take their next step into their career.
What we are looking for:
- Coordinate Outlook calendar for Medical Director and manage meetings with leadership team and hospital administration
- Manage Concur submissions for Site Director (and other clinicians as needed)
- Track site metrics, report and distribute to Director, VP, President
- Assist Director by investigating issues and coordinating with other departments to conclusion
- Create monthly quality reports and quality dashboards
- Assist hospital staff in maintaining and tracking hospital accreditation requirements (CME, certifications, etc.)
- Communicate with Credentialing to monitor start dates for new hires and coordinate where Director may need to give assistance
Requirements for the position:
- Attention to detail and ability to produce extremely accurate work.
- Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization and with our hospital partners. Ability to communicate with employees, physicians, management and external business contacts in a courteous and professional manner. Must have knowledge and proper usage of correct English and grammar.
- Ability to maintain highly confidential information.
- Ability to process assigned duties in an efficient amount of time and in an organized manner. Ability to proactively anticipate needs and to work accurately and successfully in a timely manner with limited amount of supervision.
- Ability to effectively work in a multi-task environment, to coordinate and prioritize various tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to identify, research and resolve problems and discrepancies. Ability to determine appropriate course of action, referral, or response.
- Ability to work overtime, with leadership approval, and put forth extra effort when needed. Position requires flexibility such as coming in early, staying late, or postponing lunch to accommodate department needs.
- Ability to identify emerging issues and communicate them to management.
- Ability to exhibit leadership by demonstrating a commitment to teamwork, supporting alignment with company and department goals and objectives, assisting others to develop their knowledge of the company and department, adapting to change in a positive manner that exemplifies commitment, and working proactively with minimal supervision.
