Payroll Clerk for IT Software Industry
Robert Half is seeking a Payroll Clerk to join the dynamic, fast-growing team at one of our clients in the IT Software industry! This role consists of supporting the Payroll department in a variety of responsibilities, including data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. The ideal candidate must be able to effectively correspond with both the internal team and outside customers. A Payroll Clerk position has become available on a short-term contract / temporary basis in the San Francisco, California area.
What you get to do every day:
- Distribute and administer reports as instructed
- Correspond with employees via email and phone to garner approvals on timesheets
- Update data into spreadsheets and the payroll system
- Craft and deliver training to employees on the use of proper payroll practices, including timesheet entry and online methods of accessing pay statements
- Conduct clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc.
- Build and run custom reports
- Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system
- Great attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Previous payroll experience
- Efficient in Payroll software
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
- Excellent data entry skills
- Ability to easily learn new systems
- Microsoft Excel experience desired
