Duties & Responsibilities
- Learning multiple operator functions to operate equipment to expected performance levels
- Making sure machines are set up properly and performing optimally, and troubleshooting and adjusting equipment as needed
- Working as a team to help meet or exceed production, waste and quality goals
- Performing basic asset care duties and routine preventative maintenance on equipment
- Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies and procedures while proactively seeking out potential safety hazards
- Cleaning the work area throughout shift to ensure an orderly and safe environment
Education: High school diploma or GED
Experience:
• Experience utilizing computer systems and/or databases
• One (1) year or more of experience in a manufacturing or an industrial environment, preferred
Additional Requirements:
- Willing and able to work twelve (12) hour shifts, including weekends, holidays and overtime
- 2-2-3 schedule (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off, repeat)
- Day (7:00 am to 7:00 pm) and Night (7:00pm-7:00 am) Shift positions available
- Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment
- Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for at least twelve (12) hours a day
- Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment
- Willing and able to lift at least 50 pounds
