Brief Description:
The primary focus of the QC Associate I is to provide support for sample management and routine laboratory operations. This role is responsible for performing and coordinating sample accessioning, testing, shipping and data handling.

(Primary Responsibilities, Required Qualifications, Education Requirements)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Coordinate the logistics of sample receipt, internal testing and external testing.
2. Deliver samples to internal testing labs prioritized by required turnaround times.
3. Ship samples to external test labs and prepare associated paperwork.
4. Assemble QC test data packets for lot release.
5. Perform inventory maintenance.
6. Maintain QC data files and perform data archival as required.
7. Maintain instrumentation and supporting documentation in a GMP compliant manner.
8. Respond to equipment alarms.
9. Perform equipment maintenance tasks.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Ability to work in a high paced team environment, meet deadlines, and prioritize work from multiple projects.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• The ability to work effectively with others.
• Computer proficiency as well as the ability to master new software programs.
• Experience working in a regulated (GxP) environment.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• BS in a scientific discipline or 1+ years of relevant analytical testing or QC experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with LIMS and Smart lab computer applications a plus. Proficient in common computer software applications, and effective communication skills, both oral and written are needed.
Candidate must have strong general laboratory and organizational skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to work as part of a team.
