Classification: Financial Analyst - Entry Level
Compensation: $19.00 to $22.00 hourly

Robert Half is looking for professionals interested in working in the Oil & Gas industry in an entry-level Financial Analyst position. In this entry level Financial Analyst role, you will provide daily support to the accounting and finance departments as well as perform routine assignments and solve routine/standard problems with limited discretion. This position may be for you if you're comfortable with vagueness and managing a substantial amount of information. Your responsibilities
- Collaborate on various aspects of the monthly/quarterly/annual close process (i.e. journal entries, account reconciliations, expense analysis, and trend analysis, variance analysis)
- Consolidate and analyze budgets and income statement forecasts
- Aid in annual budgeting process
- Participate in the arrangement of monthly financial reporting and other business data
- Examine conclusive results at the corporate and division levels
- Manage internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits
- Contribute to ensuring adequate controls and procedures
- Occasionally clarify complicated financial subjects to non-financial staff members in special projects
- Implement productive alternatives and solutions to reduce costs and enhance financial performance of a company
- Study and query a broad amounts of data
- Join in on monitoring and maintaining internal accounting controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements- Less than one year of experience
- BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail
- Expertise in Create Reports
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Inventory analysis experience
- Capable computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software, as well as databases and customer database systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
