Our client is one of largest retailers in the world. Yet the company is nimble and dynamic and works with cutting edge technologies. They are currently in need of an experienced Project Manager - (JIRA Agile) , to work as part of a team on multiple high visibility projects. This is a contract to hire position and is at their Pleasanton, CA .
Responsibilities
• We are looking for a Sr technical Project manager/Scrum master to drive some upgrade projects. This candidate will be technical with extensive Agile experience.
• He/She will be driving vendor deliverables. The candidate must know how to use JIRA and other agile tools.
Requirements:
• Ability to partner with the line managers in understanding skill level
• Manage conflict between teammates - key for planning/executing work
• Ensure all stakeholders are clear on project progress all throughout the lifecycle
• Ability to organize/manage teams and plan/execute work
• Ability to clearly articulate project objectives
• Facilitate a working session to define tasks, assign resources, and have the resources estimate their assigned tasks
• Monitor progress against tasks, quickly discern tasks that are getting behind schedule and addressing the cause of the delay
• Managing stakeholder expectations
• Ability to identify stakeholders (anyone who will have impact or be impacted by the outcome of the project)
• Determine and execute the communication strategy for the different stakeholder type (i.e. executive sponsor, line manager of a resource, vendor, etc.)
- Facilitate cross-team scrum-of-scrum meetings
- Managing projects using scrum/agile methodologies
- Serving as a scrum master
- Facilitating daily scrum and sprint planning
- Work as a scrum master to the agile team
- Remove impediments for the scrum team
- Running daily scrum/stand-ups
- Leading multiple scrum teams through scrum processes and ceremonies in a scaled agile environment
- Facilitate scrum meetings, manage the scrum process and help the team remove impediments
- Take responsibility for managing dependencies across scrum and non-scrum teams
- Facilitate daily scrum standups, sprint planning and sprint retrospective meetings
- Remove the impediments for the scrum team
- Facilitating backlog grooming, sprint planning, retrospectives, daily scrum, and sprint reviews
- Mentor the scrum team in scrum adoption
- Publish the teams agile metrics to management and stakeholders
- Manage cross scrum team communications
- Manage scrum team level program
- Coaching among scrum team members
- Facilitate all scrum related meetings
- Facilitate daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint review and retrospective meetings
