Solutions Architect or Lead Engineer at Kforce Technology

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client near Grove City, OH that is seeking a Solutions Architect or Lead Engineer for a remote position. Summary: This team focuses around applications and systems within the four walls of a distribution center: warehouse management (WMOS/WMS), transportation management (TMS), logistics management, labor management systems (LMS). Architects are responsible for working with WSI's Software and Applications Engineers to define technology architecture, including policies, standards and procedures used by Implementation and Support/Operations teams. In this role, you will serve as a delivery anchor for project delivery within the logistics domain and have the opportunity to work hand in hand with the company's vendor partners to analyze, design, and develop software solutions. Specific Responsibilities:
  • Solutions Architect or Lead Engineer will own the totality of the project, overall solution, and how will the pieces fit together
  • Responsible for working with the vendor on the design requirements, ensuring what the vendor is spec-ing fits into the plan, hardware sizing (hardware specifications that will need to be implemented), work with internal teams to stand up the environment, etc.
  • May translate directions into vision and strategy relevant for WSI business and systems needs
  • As a Solutions Architect or Lead Engineer, you provide input into enterprise strategies and roadmaps
  • Stays up to date with evolving trends
  • Long-term thinking for specific solutions: 2-3 year horizon
  • Participates in developing application system and technology standards, templates, and methods
  • Effectively applies standards in designs within their domain
  • Understands requirements and helps author technical designs for new systems and system changes, including data conversion and interfaces to other systems

REQUIREMENTS:

  • This Solution Design & Project Architect should have experience taking a technical concept and formulating a technical solution, and determining how that solution should be implemented
  • They should have experience architecting/designing solutions, configuring, implementing; Not just the process design side or flipping a switch (i.e., -configuration setup- and feature work)
  • Experience with overall solution implementation, leading dev team, etc.
  • Understands relevant business and technology directions
  • Solution Design & Project Architect with experience taking a technical concept and formulating a technical solution, and determining how that solution should be implemented
  • Experience architecting/designing solutions and systems, configuring, implementing, etc.
  • Understanding of the functionality of these systems, dependencies, issues, etc.
  • Need someone who can analyze/assess different systems and determine the best approach to take
  • Need to be able to look at message structures, how to tie systems together, how to model data, etc.
