Compensation: $25.00 to $30.00 hourly
Robert Half is currently looking for an efficient Senior Accountant with an eye for accuracy to be a part of a terrific short-term contract / temporary opportunity in the Drink & Beverages industry. Operating as a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This Senior Accountant position offers you great experience and a strong compensation and benefits package and is based in the Fresno, California area. We are looking for a Senior Accountant who has excellent analytical skills and enjoys working in a challenging and fast-paced environment to support the continued success of the firm. How you will make an impact
- Achieve compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners
- Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
- Work with internal and external auditors to coordinate quarterly reviews and testing
- Analyze financial results (benchmarks, trends, performance metrics)
- Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
- Take part in various department-wide initiatives
- Put together Balance Sheet account reconciliations
- Administer monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
- Ad-hoc projects as necessary
- Highly organized and self-motivated
- Microsoft Excel experience
- Strong familiarity with general ledger
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial reporting
- GAAP Accounting experience preferred
- Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
- Demonstrated skills in interacting effectively, both verbally and in writing, with functional managers
- 3+ years of overall general accounting experience
- Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
- Highly capable of analyzing financial data and quickly creating accurate reports
- You'll be successful in this position if you have financial reporting systems proficiency
- Ability to meet deadlines
- ERP system experience
- Strong analytical capabilities and discernment
