POSITION OVERVIEW:

Our team is currently recruiting for a Sr. Completions Engineer. The primary role of the Sr. Completions Engineer is to actively contribute to the success of the Project by adopting an integrated team approach, proposing optimal technical concepts and solutions integrating all stake holder constraints, and proposing a robust design capturing the economical context of the Project. The position reports to the Wells Lead and supports them with robust engineering expertise, delivering high quality studies, analysis, and reports, considering local GoM context and HSE considerations major risks (Blow Out). They will closely collaborate with the Drilling & Wells team, SPS team and the 20K team. The Senior Completion Engineer is responsible for defining, engineering, contracting, and delivering to Operations a Completion design fitting the Project requirements and complying with the clients referential and US regulations. This covers the reservoir wellbore interface, lower and upper completions.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
HSE
- Actively participate to the D&Ws and Project HSE initiatives. Be pro-active in promoting & implementing methods or actions improving the HSE culture and results of the team.
- Ensure that all Engineering work covering the position scope is performed in compliance with a high regard to Health, Safety, Security and Environmental requirements.
- Support the D&Ws and Project CFR initiatives.
Digital & Innovations
- Propose, promote & implement Digital Solutions in line with the Group, Project, and team vision, in coordination with the D&Ws Digital representative.
- Seek new technologies / new solutions to optimize the wells design efficiency and robustness for North Platte specific challenges, to optimize operations and to reduce technical risks, avoid failures and improve Safety of Operations.
Technical
- Support the Drilling Engineering team to elaborate the Well Scope of Requirements (WSOR), jointly with the Geosciences team.
- Design the development wells Reservoir Wellbore Interface, Lower Completion & Upper Completion, tubing as per Project BOD and WSOR. The well design should cover construction, production, intervention, and Plug & Abandonment considerations over a typical 25 year well life. Considerations shall be given to skin, contributing length, zonal isolation, sanding risk; hole size, section length, mud weight windows, depletion, material selection, Worst Case Discharge, 20K qualification requirements.
- Conjointly with the Fluid & Cement Engineer and in coordination with the Drilling Engineering team, select and qualify reservoir drilling & completion fluids suitable for the selected Reservoir Wellbore Interface (formation damage, permeability return).
- Define with Contractors the technical requirement, design and qualifications for the wire line, slick line, and coiled tubing equipment.
- Support the 20K Team in assessing 20K readiness of completion and well intervention equipment and defining qualification requirements. Participate in discussion with the selected Contractor and I3P for the review of Supplier documents and review of subsequent I3P Reports.
- Support the evaluation of the wells duration and cost estimate (DRILLEX) in coordination with the Drilling & Wells team.
- Provide effective leadership in Quality performance and compliance for Wells team.
- Wellsite Geologists also contribute to final end-of-well reporting and other deliverables and essentially draft sections while working offshore.
Minimum Requirements:
- Master's degree in engineering or Equivalent
- 15+ years' experience in Completion and Well Intervention
- 2+ years in High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) Completion
- 5 years in Deepwater GoM / Subsea operations,
- Experience in Equipment Qualification & QAQC.
