Responsibilities:
- Lead development of powertrain-specific targets to enable fuel economy and CO2 compliance and optimized efficiency on cycle across multiple vehicle applications
- Support vehicle calibration team in delivering target cycle efficiency
- Quantify attribute trade-offs impacting cycle efficiency and required enablers from multi-functional SME's (e.g. Drivability, NVH, Performance, Climate)
- Support creation and maintenance of processes to improve system efficiency
- Champion tools to prevent error states and accommodate new technologies
- Support vehicle testing, subsystem data analysis, and analytical forecasting of powerpack cycle efficiency
- MATLAB Excel Data processing Data analysis Technical writing
Skills Preferred:
- ATI Vision C Python CAN-based data acquisition
Experience Required:
- 2+ years of experience with energy management, powertrain development, or control systems engineering
Experience Preferred:
- Experience handling large datasets and managing data from multiple sources
- Functional understanding of powertrain systems and energy consumption throughout the vehicle
- Experience with vehicle calibration development tools such as ATI emulators
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, self-motivated, eager to take ownership and deliver results with minimal direction –Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Capable of presenting sophisticated technical information in an effective, clear and concise manner to technical and non-technical audiences
- Strategic thinker who is capable of developing solutions to difficult multivariable problems
- B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering
