Classification: Bookkeeper
Compensation: $18.21 to $21.09 hourly
We have a great opportunity available for a social Bookkeeper with a background in accounting. If you enjoy working in a team-oriented environment, this role may be perfect for you. This Waterloo, Iowa based Bookkeeper role is being offered as a long-term contract / temporary to full-time position. Your responsibilities in this role
- Settle accounts by reconciling entries
- Maintain and balance general ledger
- Review payments received and record deposits
- Sustain collections of historical records by organizing documents
- Oversee accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
- Assemble financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
- Supervise bookkeeping policies and procedures, along with developing a framework to track financial transactions with an established chart of accounts

- Comprehensive knowledge of QuickBooks- Previous experience using accounting software
- BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred
- Previous experience as a Bookkeeper preferred
