Business Analyst 2 at ICONMA

· The main function of an Business Analyst is to formulate and apply mathematical modeling and interpret information that assists management with decision making, policy formation, or other managerial functions. A typical Business Analyst is responsible for collecting and analyzing data and developing decision support software.

· Formulate mathematical or simulation models of problems, relating constants and variables, restrictions, alternatives, conflicting objectives and their numerical parameters.

· Analyze information obtained from management to conceptualize and define operational problems.

· Perform validation and testing of models to ensure adequacy and reformulate models as necessary.

· Define data requirements and gather and validate information, applying judgment and statistical tests.

· Overview of what your team does and why youre looking to bring on a contractor: The cost recovery program is looking for 3 analysts to manage supplier inquiry disputes for when they don't deliver on time.

· With the rise in supply & demand from COVID finding a high rate of suppliers not delivering products on time. Queries will come through the inbox & the contractor will be responsible for analyzing and responding to these disputes.

· The system in place already has responses aligned for disputing or approving disputes for valid reasons.

Typical workday & overview of the project that this contractor will be working on: Analyzing supplier dispute queries to determine whether to approve or deny the disputes

·            Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, statistics, mathematics or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred

·            2-4 years experience required

·            Experience in operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, or data modeling

·            Basic knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning and resource allocation

·            Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills

·            Basic ability to work independently and manage ones time

·            Excel intermediate level

·            Navigating through data points

·            Pivot tables

·            Sequel experience

·            Problem solving

·            Years of experience are you looking for 2-3

·            Specific degree or certification:

·            Bachelor degree concentration in math statistics major or business major
