Corporate Accounting Consultant - Position Description
- Ensures accurate and timely compilation of accounting information, analysis and reporting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Company policies and procedures.
- Experience working within an enterprise environment focusing on Fixed Asset accounting
- Accruals, journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reports and analysis
- Reconciliation of intercompany accounts; shared service allocations (payroll, fixed assets, travel, IT, etc.)
- Support internal and external audit requests
- Analytics
- Support preparation and distribution of monthly accounting management reports and statistical analysis based upon areas within accounting
- Provide support for internal and external audits
- Special projects - expense analysis, for example; ability to format material to present to sr. management; lease accounting assessment; GAAP audit and full financial statement
- Need a consultant who can take instructions well and can quickly adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated
- Some overtime during close and department works on holidays when necessary; however, some flexibility regarding start/end time if work is getting done
Must Haves
- 6+ years as a sr. accountant
- Eligibility to work in the USA
- Ability to work engagements in San Antonio, TX
Preferred
- CPA Consultant
- Public Accounting or Corporate Accounting
- Industry experience in the following: financial services, oil & energy and public accounting
- Internal Audit experience
- Experience briefing C-level management
- Data analytics experience
