As a Forming machine operator you will set up and operate cold heading machines. This position offers permanent hire after 90 days and yearly pay rate increases based on performance.
Shifts:
2nd shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM / Monday - Friday
3rd shift: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM / Sunday - Thursday
Compensation: $16.50 plus $1.50 shift premium with an additional $1.00 attendance bonus for working 40 hrs per week. That's right $19.00 per hour if you work 40 hours per week!
Crucial Duties and Responsibilities:
- Setup and operate a variety of cold heading machines to produce quality products of any complexity.
- Plan and perform close tolerance setups with little or no assistance.
- Use scales, micrometers, dial indicators and fixed gages to check and gage work
- Starts machine, observes operation, and inspects first run and sample work piece to ensure machining conforms to specifications
- Work with engineering and/or maintenance to resolve specific machine, tooling, setup problems that may arise
- Desire to learn new skills
- Forklift
- Mechanically inclined, set up, trouble shoot
- Good attendance
