Help Desk Support Technician at ConsultNet

Title: Part time Help Desk Support
Duration: Contract 6-12 months with possibility to convert
Location: Onsite

Job Summary:
The Help Desk Technician will be responsible for supporting the organization's applications, systems, and network.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical assistance, research, and training to resolve issues with applications, related systems, and hardware.
  • Assists users with support, access, and customization needs related to system software
  • Collaborates with staff to research and resolve problems
  • Documents technical requirements, usage procedures, and common problem fixes
  • Participates in testing updates to the organization's applications, systems, and network
  • Work as liaison for end users regarding software break/fix and general training on expected use of IT systems
  • Configure, install, maintain, track and support hardware for desktop and laptop computers along with other associated hardware such as cell phones, printers and scanners
  • Configure, test, and troubleshoot network connectivity and wireless access for local and remote computers, cell phones or devices
 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of computer and networking hardware and software systems.
  • Ability to quickly learn a broad array of networking, systems hardware and software
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Active Directory Federated Service, IIS, Microsoft SQL Server
  • Knowledge of G-Suite
  • Remote desktop support
  • Ability for on-call support 24x7


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required. 
  • 1-2 years of related experience, preferably with systems similar to those used in the organization, required.
