HR Coordinator at Staffmark

Our customer located in Austin, Texas is seeking a contract-to-hire, full-time HR Coordinator to manage the employee data process and assist HR Generalists and HR Business Partners with day-to-day projects. The ideal candidate must be well-organized, have a strong sense of prioritization, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. This position requires you to manage and update the company's HRIS (Workday) and act as a general point of contact for all US-based employee HR matters. This is currently a remote position but will move to a hybrid schedule next year when the customer reopens their offices.  You will be required to work at least one day per week in the office in North Austin. 
 
Responsibilities:

* Enter and maintain all employee life-cycle changes through the HRIS, including, but not limited to: new hires, terminations, compensation changes, leave of absences, structural organization changes such as department and supervisor changes, etc.
* Manage applicable tracking spreadsheets (terminations, performance, new hires) to ensure all data is up-to-date and easily accessible for HR Business Partners
* Assist in the support and system improvement of the HRIS. Document process and results. Look for continuous improvement to make HR transactions and reporting streamlined and workflow enabled.
* Develop an in-depth knowledge of company policies & procedures to effectively communicate guidelines when responding to daily employee inquiries
* Build strong working relationship with HR members on a global scale
* Partner with and manage the background check process, including reconciling monthly invoices for payment
* Respond in a timely manner to all employment verification requests by completing verbal and written verifications, including composing employment verification letters
* Respond effectively to all unemployment claims and liaise with payroll for additional information when applicable
* Run, distribute, and analyze various reports for HR and Finance teams as needed
* Assist with HR compliance projects such as personnel file and benefit document audits, as well as consistent filing of personnel documentation
* Maintain a strong understanding of all US employer compliance
* Promote consistency among employees and departments across all office locations
* Assist HR team in responding to general employee inquiries
 
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
* 1+ years administrative or HR experience
* Passion for human resources with a can-do attitude
* Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills
* Pride in ownership and extreme attention to detail
* HRIS experience - especially if with Workday - a plus
* Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills
* Must be strong in MSOffice suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail).  Advanced knowledge of Excel is a huge plus.
* Experience using a MacBook
