Location: Maplewood, MN
Duration: 12 month contract
Duties:
- Support raw material, component and product testing, including chemical, physical, mechanical and microbiology testing
- Prepare data analysis & test documentation; author test reports
- Support competitive product testing and analysis.
- Support product development activity with building, testing, and debugging of prototypes and test fixtures.
- Purchasing lab supplies, maintains equipment and documentation for the lab
Basic Qualifications:
- Completed a post high school degree from an accredited college or university in a science, engineering, or manufacturing discipline
- Demonstrate broad engineering aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication skills
- Basic computer skills for data entry, run records and file transfer.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited university
- Mechanical testing of materials
- Proficiency using Microsoft Excel, Minitab, etc.
- Comfort and familiarity with wet chemistry and chemical processing
- Comfort and familiarity with power tools
- Experience with 3D mechanical CAD tools such as Solidworks, ProEngineer, CREO, or NX.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent verbal and hands on skills, ability to problem solve.
- Ability to prioritize and complete tasks.
