TITLE: Linux Devops Engineer

DUTIES/TASKS:
- LINUX CLOUD ENGINEER
- Design, build and maintenance of Development and production systems in Azure, Goole and AWS.
- Lead efforts to ensure business continuity, including monitoring servers, debugging deployment issues.
- Support and maintain environments to support the software development life cycle and multi-site production coop deployments.
- Build Ansible based hardening scripts for deployment for secured RHEL systems.
- Participate in the platform governance process as a member of the security team.
- Design and manage DevOps pipelines and code repositories (using git, shell scripting, and pytest).
- Work with stakeholder security group to implement standard security practices on the newly evolving cloud platform.
- Automating data ingestion and reporting with scripting and process automation.
- Support deliverable of virtual machine to support on-premises connectivity to a cloud data platform.
- Identify root cause of production performance issues with multiple clients both on premises and in Azure.
- Work with operations and development staff to address finding on all virtual machines.
- Automate day-to-day functions and software upgrades with Ansible playbooks.
- Develop Python packages to organize folder structures with fuzzy string matching, to reduce errors in value labeling.
- Leverage tools to automate builds, Static Code Analysis , testing and deployment tasks.
- Configure systems automation and infrastructure for various clients to support enterprise architectures.
- Script and program in Ansible, bash, and python for system and task automation.
- Automate and orchestrate build and deployment using configuration/deployment management systems.
- Monitor and Troubleshoot Linux and Unix-based OS issues in a virtualized environment.
- Support and mainten enterprise-grade operational applications, directory services and containers.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Minimum 7 years recent experience with above duties, including the following;
- Production-level experience with distributed applications at scale in public cloud (AWS and/or Azure)
- Build and Deploy CI/CD pipelines, Linux-based infrastructures with automation and deployment tools, (Ansible, Python, Jenkins, Kanban, Chef/Puppet, Bamboo, Groovy, Javascript, Ruby, etc.).
- Experience working in an Agile, fast-paced, DevOps environment, production level expertise with containerization orchestration engines.
- Working knowledge on monitoring servers, (AWS EC2, RDS, VPC).
- Active Linux and Cloud/DevOps Certifications.
- Available to work Remote with travel for meetings.
- MUST Be minimum 3 years for Government Clearance.
- Education – MUST have a BS or BA degree in STEM or related Fields.
