We are currently in search of a qualified Network Engineer III to join a successful utility company for a 12-month contract located in Miami, FL.
Responsibilities:
• Support multiple data centers with continuing improvement of networking and an engineering mindset to solve problems
• Impact and influence other teammates to grow and get better
• Help transform existing network by planning a next generation network that is highly available exceeds the businesses expectations
• Work with Cisco core routing and switching, WAN / LAN routing and switching, F5 Load balancing, network security devices and protocols
• Plan and design, proactively seek issues before they become incidents, and troubleshoot complex issues using diverse tool sets
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree and at least 7 years' experience managing, configuring, and troubleshooting enterprise networks
• Business problem solving mindset and ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Experience with Cisco Core routing and switching, Route / Switch / Security
• Cisco Nexus NX-OS, planning and implementation, and
• Firewall experience with Checkpoint and/or Palo Alto
• Cisco Catalyst and IOS
• Cisco AS 9 .x and CLI and ASDM
• BGP and OSPF
• Experience in a regulated environment (doesn't have to be utilities)
• Worked with in a large enterprise environment
• Needs to be able to work on-stie 5 days a week
A Plus:
• Cisco Sourcefire IPS
• Cisco Firepower 2100 / 4100 / 9000 using FTD
• Scripting capabilities, PERL
