BASIC FUNCTION:
- Applying both insurance and patient payments to the patient's chart accurately and efficiently
- Balance high dollar, multi-location batches to dollar amount deposited in bank account
- Understand, read and communicate payment trends to the Manger
- Understand and comprehend patients chart to answer any questions about payments posted in Nextgen.Requirements include:
- At least one year of experience in a MEDICAL BILLING environment
- Experience in reading insurance EOB's
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet daily production targets
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
- NextGen experience is a plus
- Excellent organizational, customer service, and communication skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Occasional overtime may be required
