Responsibilities:
Safely set up and operate press brakes, shears, rollers, punches, drill presses and saws
Read work orders and drawings to determine specifications, such as materials/finishes to be used, calculate flat layouts, dimensions and tolerances and properly labeling parts
Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measurement devices
Perform routine maintenance on machines on machines to address quality/productivity issues per established maintenance schedules
Support other areas of shop, as needed, and complete additional tasks requested by management
Requirements:
HS Diploma/GED -- any vocational training or technical degree is preferred
5+ years of experience setting up and operating press brakes (performing bend calculations, etc), shears, rollers, punches, drill presses and saws
Must be able to use 'shop-math' relevant to job functions, such as decimals, percentages and fractions -- geometry and trigonometry is a plus
Ability to read and understand manufacturing planning, engineering blueprints, sketches and inspection tools, such as calipers and tape measures
Ability to operate a fork-lift -- certification is a plus
