Exciting work you will do:

Our client has an immediate need for a Product Owner to support a fast-moving, highly visible initiative. This contract engagement that will be on-site for the 6-month contract period. It is a possible Contract to Hire role.

  • Serve as the conduit between user needs, technical capabilities, and engineering requirements, developing these into roadmaps and requirements for the Agile backlog of a development team
  • Lead the backlog refinement of features and user stories and ensure delivery teams are prepared to meet sprint deadlines
  • You will work with others on a day-to-day basis to help make decisions on what is in scope and provide input into functional decisions
  • Interaction with the teams building the products
  • Focus on product level impediments and process changes to enable faster and higher quality software
  • Make tough decisions on trade-offs between features, quality and dates in order to provide the best solution for our clients
  • You ensure Product leadership is aware of key issues and changes, and provide them with the right information and recommendations to resolve issues
  • You work with Product Managers to ensure the features in a release represent what is needed and that return on investment is in line with their expectations
  • You have in-depth knowledge of goals and desired objectives of the initiatives and features
  • You will drive value as a function of cost, time, functionality and quality
  • You will work with Architect(s) and Tech Lead(s) to identify non-functional requirements like infrastructure needs
  • You will work with Quality Assurance team member(s) to identify test cases for automated testing
  • You will coordinate with business customers to conduct product integration testing Key Responsibilities Preparation and Participation in PI Planning Program Backlog

What you will need:

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Business or equivalent job experience required
  • 3+ years in experience managing product backlogs and requirements for Agile delivery teams in a Product Owner capacity
  • Skilled at removing roadblocks
  • Experience with Jira
  • Experience delivering products using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Possess a deep understanding of web service technologies, user interface/interaction, and knowledge of Systems Development and Project Management lifecycles
  • Experience with Product & Technology Roadmap development through influence of key business and technology partners to identify business priorities
  • Experience with Scrum, Kanban and GCP Cloud Technologies preferred
