Repair and Alteration Project Manager / USPS – Dallas, TX 75075

System One has a one-year contract opportunity for a Repair and Alteration Project Manager local to Dallas. The Repair and Alteration PM manages multiple repair and alteration projects on exiting USPS facilities with project values potentially ranging from $50K to $5M. Project type can include facility roofing, HVAC repairs, interior upgrades, pavement repairs, MEP upgrades and any other facility upkeep types of projects. ** Will work out of the USPS Facility office ** ** Please include a project list with construction values **

  1. 1 year assignment
  2. Will complete all System One, Client and USPS onboarding processes
  3. UNITED STATES CITIZENSHIP is required
  4. Monday thru Friday / 8:00a to 5:00p

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or construction-related field (or equivalent) is required
  • 12+ years related work experience is required with at least 5+ years in a lower-level managerial/leadership role at a field site.
  • Enrollment in PM certification program is preferred, but not required.
  • Requires experience with scheduling, cost estimating, project controls and subcontract management

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing A/E design consultants, construction contractors and specialty service companies, as required to complete the projects.
  • Project Management tasks include project development, funding requests, project set-up and administration, solicitation and procurement management, invoice management, construction management, contract modification management and project closeout and acceptance.
  • Requires experience with scheduling, cost estimating, project controls and subcontract management.
  • Position will require strong interpersonal skills for interaction with multiple stakeholders for each project and each facility.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

  • Proven ability to perform in a management capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required.
