Location: South San Francisco, CA
Duration: 12 Months+
- Generate clonal cell lines over-expressing cell surface proteins by performing gene cloning, plasmid construct design, transfections, stable selection, expansion, and expression & stability characterization of the final clones (FACS).
- May generate cell lines also expressing reporter constructs to assess receptor activation
- Independently design and perform experiments using a variety of cell culture technologies including single cell cloning/clone picking.
- Clear and comprehensive documentation of experimental procedures and results in electronic notebook.
- Generate summary reports for each cell line development project and register cell lines into internal database.
Qualifications
- Education: BS or MS with 2+ years of relevant molecular biology and cell line development experience.
- Expertise in cell line engineering and cell culture principles in a pharmaceutical and biotechnology setting
- Experience in cell line development technologies including culture of mammalian cells, single-cell cloning (sorting/clone picking), clonality assessment, and clone screening
- Experience in molecular biology and cell culture analysis methods including subcloning, qPCR/ddPCR, gene expression analyses, FACS.
- Excellent time management, attention to detail and organization Excellent documentation skills
