Compensation: $27.00 to $32.00 hourly
Robert Half is currently looking for an efficient Senior Accountant with an eye for accuracy to be a part of a terrific contract to full-time opportunity. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Responsibilities:
- Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
- Put together Balance Sheet account reconciliations
- Other projects as required
- Achieve compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners
- Bring a daily dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
- Put together monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
- Arrange quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
- Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments
- Analyze financial results (benchmarks, trends, performance metrics)
- Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines- Highly capable of analyzing financial data and quickly creating accurate reports
- Knowledgeable of ERP systems
- Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
- Highly organized and self-motivated
- Comprehensive knowledge of QuickBooks
- Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
- Knowledge of general ledger
- Accounts Provisioning experience
- Proven knowledge of payroll
- Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred
- Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
- Demonstrated skills in interacting effectively, both verbally and in writing, with functional managers
- Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience
- Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
- Candidate must possess first-rate analytical, quantitative and social skills
- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are highly desired
- A candidate with financial reporting systems proficiency will be the best fit for this position
- Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
