We are actively seeking a Senior Optical Mechanical Technician.
The Sr Optical Mechanical Technician will assist with the assembly of products, failure analysis, and process improvement.
Responsibilities of the Sr Optical Mechanical Technician:
- Assist in the assembly of products specific to opto-mechanical components, assembly processes and test equipment products.
- Support fixture and machine development, assembly, testing and qualification
- Maintain and operate assembly fixtures and machines
- Support failure analysis of opto-mechanical assemblies
- Support process improvement activities
Required Experience:
- 3+ years relevant experience in opto-mechanical product assembly and testing, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with MEMS (scanning, accelerometers, etc.). 3D CAD a plus.
- Opportunity for extensions and/or conversion to regular full-time employment
- Hands-on experience with opto-mechanical components, assembly processes and test equipment
- Experience reading 2D part and assembly drawings
- Excellent mechanical aptitude
- Basic experience using adhesives (UV cure, thermal cure, mixing and dispensing)
- Proven ability to work independently with minimum guidance
