Stress analyst shall have proficiency in classic hand analysis techniques
Basic finite element analysis background (i.e. linear static analysis) required
Use of NASTRAN / FEMAP preferred
The stress analysis will encompass preliminary analyses , final analyses , analysis reports/memos and any subsequent reviews required to ensure the tool or hardware achieve the desired outcome. Additional requirements may be defined through working with the Client stress analysis team.
The strength analyst shall provide verification of the stress analysis reports provided to them by any third party tooling suppliers (if applicable).
Tooling analyses reports shall be prepared in accordance with NASA Drawing 8594001 Preparation of Stress Analysis Reports.
The strength analyst shall submit the Finite Element Models (FEM) including a description of what the model represents and a definition of the boundary conditions to the Client tooling team.
The strength analyst shall provide an electronic copy of the strength reports. Formats shall be in common format (i.e. Microsoft Word or PDF) and approved by Client.
Analyses and verifications performed by the Supplier shall be considered final but may be reviewed and verified by the Client Strength Analysis team.
Requires a bachelors degree and 5-9 years of experience.
