Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a HEDIS Clinical Staff Consultant for a contract position in Pittsburg, PA. Opportunity will be six months with a strong chance for a long-term extension.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- This job works with appropriate departments in the areas of STARS and quality for all product lines.
- The incumbent reviews, researches and responds to clinical data relating to HEDIS measures.
- Coordinates related outreach activities to obtain required member data elements from provider practices.
- Manage member assignment to efficiently develop outreach strategy.
- Perform outreach for assigned practices to request required medical record documentation for HEDIS abstraction.
- Collect and analyze data from medical record review for abstraction and entry into HEDIS data collection tool.
- Analyzes data completeness and conducts additional outreach for required documentation.
- Conduct continuing education to providers on STARS and HEDIS as necessary.
- Travel up to 30% may be required for record retrieval.
Qualifications:
- Years of industry experience: 3-5 years relevant, progressive HEDIS experience
- Educational requirements: Preferred Associates degree in health care related field
- Professional skills and qualifications: LPN/RN preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of current HEDIS measures and healthcare standards
- Must be willing to travel
- Must be detail oriented
- Will take the IRR Test after one to two weeks of training (must pass in order to continue assignment)
