Projects:
· The physical safety of our guests and hosts is our team's responsibility and we're always building features to protect everyone on our platform.
· We built a sophisticated identity verification system that provides identity confidence while ensuring a great, fast user experience.
· We've built a server driven, generic and extensible framework called Airlock that can inject verification steps anywhere on the site. The system is triggered whenever we detect risky user behavior.
· We create and maintain systems to verify listings, block spam and stop scams.
· We are creating tools to detect and prevent discriminatory behavior on our platform. This includes blocking hateful content with ML models as well as detecting patterns of discrimination and bias in the product.
· Our team builds the frameworks and UI to ensure the privacy of our users' data and inform them of how and why their data is being used, giving them complete control.
Job Responsibilities
Skills:
· 5+ years industry experience
· Comfortable coding in JavaScript
· Experience building React applications (important)
· Fluency in HTML, CSS, and related web technologies
· Demonstrated knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals
· Awareness of cross-browser compatibility issues and client-side performance considerations
· Demonstrated design and UX sensibilities
Work experience
· 5+ years .
Education
Not required, but recommended
· Bachelor's and/or master's degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience
